How to create PDF interactive forms
Purpose
To create a PDF form which can be digitally filled out.
Requirements
Adobe Acrobat Pro DC must be installed on your computer. If it is not please raise a
ticket.
Instructions
- Open the form you wish to make interactive in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC and click Prepare Form
- Confirm your document is selected and click Start
- At this point Adobe will automatically detect fields and fill them in
- Using the toolbar add and remove objects into the form
- Once form has been completed click File > Save As and save your document

Adjusting text box text
- Right click a field and select Properties
- The following are the most commonly used configurations
General > Common Properties > Required - Mark a require as required
Appearance > Text > Font Size - Adjust the size of text, auto will auto-size text in a box depending on number of text entered
Options > Alignment - Adjust how text will align (left, center, right)
Options > Limit of - Limit how many characters (text and numbers) can be entered in a field. Used for credit card text fields.
Tips
- Do not copy check box fields, create a check box for every instance. When copied they all be treated as the same box.
