How to share & request documents with Sharefile

Purpose

To share or request files and folders with Sharefile and non-Sharefile users. 

Requirements

 Sharefile account, computer and internet access.

Instructions

How to share a folder - With Sharefile users

  1. Login to Sharefile using your Sharefile credentials - https://rcpa.sharefile.com/Authentication/Login


  2. Using the navigation pane on the left browse to the folder you would like to share


  3. To share with people that have a Sharefile account click People on this Folder button and click Add People to Folder button
     

  4. Search for people's names, configure folder permissions and notifications then click Add


  5. Depending on your notification settings when adding people to folder/s they may recieve an email advising them access to your shared folder

  1. Login to Sharefile using your Sharefile credentials - https://rcpa.sharefile.com/Authentication/Login


  2. Using the navigation pane on the left browse to the folder you would like to share


  3. Right click your folder and click Get a Link


  4. Copy your link or click Edit Link Options to adjust link settings

  5. Once you have your link copied you can paste this into an email and whoever clicks on the link will be able to view your folder

How to request documents

This is typically useful when requesting large files that cannot be sent via email 


  1. Login to Sharefile using your Sharefile credentials - https://rcpa.sharefile.com/Authentication/Login


  2. Using the navigation pane on the left browse to the folder you would like to people to save documents and click on the blue circle button and select Request Files
  3. Select Get a Request Link 


  4. Select Edit Link Options to configure link, once settings are confirmed click Get a Link button


  5. Copy link URL and paste it into communications to be sent out to people
