Google Chrome: Unable to open PDFs on RCPA website

Purpose

To resolve issue of unable to open PDFs on RCPA website. Users may be presented with following error. This is caused by Chrome trying to download PDFs rather than opening within the browser.

Requirements

Up to date web browser, click here to update Google Chrome. If you are unsure what web browser you are using click here!

Instructions

  1. Open Google Chrome settings


  2. Scroll down and click on Advanced


  3. Go to Privacy and security > Site Settings


  4. Go to Site Settings > PDF documents
  5. Turn off option


  6. Close, reopen Chrome and retest PDF document
